Now Accepting Nominations for 2023 Northern Virginia 40 Under 40

Arlington, VA – The Leadership Center for Excellence and Leadership Fairfax are now accepting nominations for the 2023 Northern Virginia 40 Under 40. The organizations are once again partnering to recognize young leaders who are making a positive impact in Northern Virginia. 

Nominations can be submitted online at leadercenter.org/40-under-40. The nomination deadline is Thursday, January 5, 2023. Once an individual is nominated, they will be invited to complete an application by Thursday, January 12, 2023. Individuals must be nominated before they can apply. 

Honorees will be announced in early February 2023 and recognized on Friday, March 24, 2023, at a virtual ceremony at 11:00 a.m. and an in-person reception at 4:30 p.m. (for honorees only).

The Northern Virginia 40 Under 40 program celebrates leaders who demonstrate exceptional and impactful leadership and civic engagement in their professional and personal spheres within the Northern Virginia region. Honorees represent business, non-profit, and government sectors.
Anyone may nominate a leader if they meet the following criteria:

  • Live or work in Northern Virginia (Alexandria City, Arlington County, Fairfax County, Falls Church City, Loudoun County, or Prince William County) 
  • Under age 40 as of March 24, 2023 
  • Demonstrate impact in Northern Virginia through (1) professional and personal achievements, (2) civic engagement, (3) personal story
