Adryann Glenn: A Profile of Leadership, Faith, and Service

Reverend Adryann Glenn is a man of faith, leadership, and community empowerment who has dedicated his life to the betterment of others through his diverse roles in ministry, nonprofit work, and education. A proud member of the Leadership Center of Arlington’s Lead Class of 2016, Adryann’s career and personal mission have consistently centered around service and creating lasting, transformative impacts in the lives of those he encounters.

In 2016, Adryann participated in the Lead program, an experience that enriched his leadership journey and expanded his ability to serve. He stood out as a member of the Class of 2016, not only for his natural leadership abilities but also for his creativity and dedication to enriching the learning environment.

Adryann’s journey to leadership is different than most. He endured hardships in his youth that most have never experienced — selling drugs, incarceration, and poverty. Adryann taught his Lead class about the inequities in our justice system, recidivism, and the perseverance to overcome the path he was on for a better life. He was selected as the Class Speaker for the 2016 Leadership Summit and spoke about his innovative approach to leadership and community engagement, leaving a lasting impression on his classmates. His unique perspectives on community service, social justice, and leadership left an indelible mark on the program, further solidifying his reputation as a thoughtful and dynamic leader.

At the heart of Adryann Glenn’s vocation is his calling as a minister. He currently serves as the Reverend of Beulah AME Zion Church on the island of St. Croix in the United States Virgin Islands. In this role, he shepherds a vibrant congregation, leading them in worship and guiding their spiritual growth. His sermons reflect his deep faith and ability to connect biblical teachings with practical life applications, encouraging his congregants to live lives that reflect the love and teachings of Christ. Under his pastoral leadership, the Beulah AME Zion Church has become a strong community center, promoting social justice, educational opportunities, and spiritual empowerment.

Beyond the church walls, Reverend Glenn has extended his influence through the creation and leadership of Align Community Inc., a nonprofit organization he founded. As the Founder and Executive Director of Align Community, Reverend Glenn has been a tireless advocate for community reentry, workforce development, and support services for at-risk individuals. The organization’s flagship initiative, the RESET program, focuses on providing returning citizens [JR1] and marginalized groups with the tools and training needed to successfully reintegrate into society and become indispensable members of the local workforce. Through programs such as A.A.R.C. (Acknowledgement, Agency, Reciprocity, Clarity), Align Community helps individuals develop the resilience and practical skills necessary to thrive.

Reverend Glenn’s vision for Align Community is rooted in his belief in second chances and his commitment to breaking the cycles of poverty and incarceration that often affect underserved populations. His work has been instrumental in offering hope and opportunity to individuals who might otherwise be overlooked by traditional social systems.

In addition to his roles in ministry and nonprofit leadership, Reverend Glenn also plays a key role in the field of education as the Program Manager of UVICELL (University of the Virgin Islands Center for Excellence in Leadership and Learning) on St. Croix. In this capacity, he oversees educational programming that supports lifelong learning and professional development for the local community. UVICELL’s mission aligns closely with Reverend Glenn’s own philosophy of education as a tool for empowerment, and he is passionate about equipping individuals with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in an increasingly competitive global economy.

His role at UVICELL has allowed him to create educational pathways for both youth and adults, bridging gaps in access to quality education and offering tailored programs to meet the unique needs of the Virgin Islands community. His expertise in workforce development and leadership training makes him an invaluable asset to UVICELL’s mission.

Reverend Adryann Glenn’s multifaceted roles as a pastor, nonprofit leader, and educator exemplify his deep commitment to serving others. Whether he is standing at the pulpit, working to develop reentry programs for marginalized individuals, or managing educational initiatives, Adryann consistently demonstrates a servant-leader mentality. His life’s work has been dedicated to creating pathways for others to succeed, and his involvement in programs like Lead has only strengthened his resolve to make a lasting impact on both local and global scales. As he continues to lead Beulah AME Zion Church, grow Align Community, and manage UVICELL’s educational programs, Reverend Glenn remains a beacon of hope and an agent of change in the U.S. Virgin Islands and beyond. His work serves as a reminder that through faith, education, and community action, real and lasting change is possible. Adryann is a proud husband to Aisha and father to his 2 sons, Ace and Adom.
